"My wife and I had a great salmon fishing experience. We caught so many fish, her arm was sore for days after reeling them in... Captain Dan was a fantastic guide. As a bonus, we got to see two humpback whales breeching. We will definitely come back!"

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring on my fishing trip?

We recommend dressing in warm, waterproof layers suitable for Pacific Northwest maritime conditions. Please bring sunscreen, a hat, and a cooler if you plan to take your catch home. All fishing tackle and gear are provided — no prior experience is necessary.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes — a valid Washington State fishing license is required for all guests 15 and older. Licenses can be purchased online at wdfw.wa.gov or at most local sporting goods and grocery stores. We recommend purchasing yours in advance of your charter date.

Are there any items prohibited on board?

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, the following are not permitted on board: smoking or vaping of any kind, alcohol brought aboard by guests (a light beverage policy may be arranged in advance), and any food or items that may interfere with the cleanliness of the vessel. Please ask us in advance if you have any questions about a specific item.

What is your cancellation and weather policy?

Guest safety is our highest priority. In the event of unsafe sea or weather conditions, we will reschedule your charter or issue a full refund. Light rain is common in the Pacific Northwest and does not typically affect operations. We monitor conditions closely and will contact you as early as possible if a change is needed.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If conditions are deemed unsafe, we will reschedule or provide a full refund. Mild Pacific Northwest weather — overcast skies or light rain — typically does not impact our trips. We will reach out as early as possible should conditions require a change to your booking.

What conduct is expected on board?

We ask all guests to treat the vessel, equipment, and fellow guests with respect. Please follow all instructions from the captain at all times — this ensures a safe and productive trip for everyone. Tackle and equipment should be handled with care; please ask before operating any gear you are unfamiliar with. Clean, closed-toe footwear is required on deck.
